John Johnson, DO
Dr. Johnson is a dual board-certified in allergy and immunology as well as internal medicine at Greater Boston Allergy. Dr. Johnson is deeply invested in the progression of allergy-immunology. Dr. Johnson has contributed to more than 20 peer-reviewed publications, authoring a book chapter on asthma, and delivering over 10 invited presentations at national conferences and international forums. Dr. Johnson's passion for research was sparked early on, receiving an American Heart Association research grant as one of eight college students in the Northeast U.S. This initial research at Boston Children’s Hospital, in collaboration with Harvard Medical School and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, focused on developing tissue-engineered heart valves for children, with the findings published in Circulation. Furthering Dr. Johnson's research endeavors, he worked on Huntington’s Disease trials at the University of Central Florida - College of Medicine and was featured on the cover of Nature Medicine.

Simon Desjardins, MD
Simon Desjardins, MD, MBA, is a psychiatrist at the McLean Hospital and an instructor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. He earned a medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, completed psychiatric residency training at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, and earned an MBA in hospital administration from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College.
Dr. Desjardins has a wide breadth of experience in the fields of psychiatry, psychology, and neurology. He has clinical expertise in psychotic, mood, anxiety, and personality disorders, and has conducted research in mood and anxiety disorders, and Alzheimer's disease.

Abdelbassat Zerguine, MD
Abdelbassat Zerguine, MD is a board-certified psychiatrist at Mass General Brigham/McLean Hospital and an instructor in psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. He completed psychiatry residency training at Mount Sinai with a focus on learning about and utilizing neuromodulation procedures such as electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), transcranial magnetic stimulation(TMS), and deep brain stimulation (DBS) to treat treatment-resistant psychiatric disorders. He has clinical expertise in mood, anxiety, and psychotic disorders. Dr. Zerguine is also interested in inpatient psychiatry and in continuing to conduct research to help with treatment-resistant psychiatric disorders. n goes here

Kara Colucci, RN
Graduating from The University of Vermont in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, Kara began her career as a Registered Nurse at Boston Children's Hospital. She later joined the pediatric department at St. Luke's Hospital as a staff nurse. With 20 years of medical research experience, she has taken on the role of lead research nurse at multiple medical research sites, passionately engaging in clinical research and contributing to the development of innovative treatments for various diseases. Kara resides in Dartmouth with her husband, two children, and their dog, Otis.

Leslie Stefanowicz, NP
Leslie Stefanowicz is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with extensive allergy, asthma and immunology experience. She received her Master's Degree of Science in Nursing at Massachusetts General Hospital's Institute of Health Professions.
She is a member of the American College of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology. She has specific areas of interest including food allergy, eosinophilic esophagitis as well as asthma. She enjoys teaching and continually precepts Nurse Practitioner students. She manages the integration of USP 797 serum program.

Amy L. Solomon, RPH
Amy graduated with high distinction from the University of Rhode Island in 1997, earning a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. She is a licensed registered pharmacist in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
A native of southeastern Massachusetts, Amy has devoted her career to serving her local community. With over 27 years of experience, she is deeply committed to patient care and has cultivated enduring relationships with many of her patients—some of whom she has served throughout her entire career.
At Mayflower Clinical, Amy leverages her extensive expertise to contribute to the development of innovative therapies that have the potential to significantly improve or save lives. This role aligns with her passion for excellence in healthcare and provides a profound sense of fulfillment.
Amy resides locally with her husband and daughter. Outside of her professional commitments, she is an avid tennis player and enjoys traveling with her family.

Katherine Lemmertz, CRC
Katherine is a clinical research coordinator with extensive experience supporting clinical trials across a wide range of therapeutic areas, including Cardiology, Infectious Disease, and Neurology, including Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease. She has worked in clinical research settings for several decades and brings deep knowledge of study coordination, patient management, and protocol compliance.
Her professional experience spans organizations, including roles at Mass General Brigham, WCG Clinical, Boston Neuro Research Center, and now Mayflower Clinical. Katherine has supported Phase II–IV studies and has been involved in both blinded and open-label trials, with a strong focus on regulatory adherence and high-quality data collection. She has been certified through the Association of Clinical Research Professionals.
Katherine earned her Associate Degree in Medical Assisting from Newbury College. Her long-standing commitment to clinical research and patient-focused care contributes to the successful execution of complex clinical trials.
She resides locally with her two dogs and enjoys quality time with her family.

Jessica Necchi-Dumas, CRC
Jessica is a clinical research coordinator with more than 16 years of medical experience and a strong foundation in laboratory sciences, phlebotomy education, and clinical research. For the past four years, she has supported Phase II–IV studies focused on neurologic and neurodegenerative conditions, bringing a patient-centered approach to complex research environments.
Her experience spans outpatient clinics, hospital systems, and reference laboratories, where she has developed strong expertise in specimen collection, patient engagement, regulatory compliance, and clinical workflow optimization. In addition to her research work, Jessica teaches phlebotomy, medical assisting, and clinical skills at CCRI and Newport Community College, with curricula aligned to national certification standards.
Jessica holds a Bachelor of Arts and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Health Information Management at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Her hands-on clinical background, combined with a commitment to quality, accuracy, and compassionate care, supports effective research execution and care delivery.
Outside of work, Jessica lives locally with her spouse, dog, cat, and a small flock of chickens. She enjoys staying active by playing flag football and values maintaining strong connections within her community.

Mackenzie Violette is a Study Enrollment Specialist at Mayflower Clinical Research with over 10 years of experience in the clinical research field. She began her career in Westport, Massachusetts, where she developed a strong passion for connecting patients with clinical trials that can make a meaningful difference in their lives. One year ago, Mackenzie relocated to sunny Naples, Florida, where she continues to support patient recruitment efforts with the same dedication and care. Outside of work, she values time spent with her family and enjoys the year-round sunshine of Southwest Florida.
